An evening
in the rows

What you'll learn

Lessons happen in the rows of Fox Farm Flowers, a working flower farm in Southern Maine. Over a three-hour evening session you'll learn to see in macro, master depth-of-field and focus stacking, and work golden-hour light to pull a clean, print-worthy image out of moving petals, restless bees, and changing conditions.

What to expect

  • 01

    Three-hour sessions

An unhurried evening in the rows, timed for golden-hour light and plenty of hands-on shooting.

  • 02

    Just two guests

Sessions are capped at two people, so you get nearly one-on-one guidance the whole time.

  • 03

    Gear included

Bring your own camera if you have one, or use a loaner body and a dedicated macro lens for the evening.

  • 04

    All levels welcome

Whether you’re brand new to photography or an experienced shooter going deeper into macro, the session meets you where you are.

“I loved spending the evening exploring the farm, getting up close with the bugs and flowers I'd normally walk right past. Bret's guidance on focusing and framing made a real difference. I'm excited to get some prints and get back to take more photos!”

About me

I’m passionate about the environment and deeply concerned about the impact we’re having on the planet. Photography helps me connect with nature and, hopefully, inspires others to appreciate and protect it too.

For me, it’s not just about taking pictures; it’s about sharing a genuine love for the outdoors. I hope to teach others to slow down and notice the small details of the natural world. There is so much around us, if we only stop to look.
